55 Buses Lettered in Just a Few Months for the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA)

Turbo Images recently completed a major graphics project for the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA) bus fleet in Massachusetts. This was our first project with this new client.

Following a public tender awarded in January, the project got underway the following month. The contract included the production and installation of partial and full graphics on 55 buses, including 40- and 35-foot transit buses, as well as smaller shuttle buses.

Some of the buses first had to be de-lettered before the new graphics could be installed.

The project was completed from March to May 2026, within a tight timeline, presenting a significant technical challenge for the Turbo Images team.

The main technical challenges of this project included:

• Completing a large number of vehicles within a tight timeframe
• Ensuring a perfect colour match between the blue decals and the painted surfaces on certain buses
• Maintaining the continuity of the side decals toward the rear of the buses to ensure precise alignment of the graphics
